Dr. Mocanu worked at DM Capital in 2011-2012 as Senior Investment Director. Dr. Mocanu is presently a management consultant in the Health and Life Sciences practice at Oliver Wyman, focusing on R&D productivity, market access, and portfolio investment strategies for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.  

 

Prior to this, Mr. Mocanu co-founded a medical device company specializing in real-time diagnostic brain imaging, worked with DM Capital on several due diligence and international benchmarking projects, brokered cross-Pacific technology licensing deals, and advised several life sciences start-ups on technical and commercial strategy. He has authored 18 scientific papers in oncology, 3 patents, and has given lectures at several prominent universities.

 

Joseph has a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.
